Before the details
Choosing Care Is Choosing More for Them
Most families arrive here carrying some guilt. Moving a parent or loved one into full-time care isn't handing them over. It's deciding they deserve more than one visit a day and a quiet house in between.
You don't stop being their family. You just stop being the night nurse and the cook as well, and go back to being their daughter, their son, their niece or their nephew when you visit.

The Three Things Families Worry About Most

“Did she take her pills?”
Medication, Managed by People Who Do It All Day
Prescriptions are ordered, stored and given by trained staff on a set schedule, and every dose is recorded. When a doctor changes something, we update the plan and tell you. Nobody's relying on a pill organizer and a good memory.

“Is he on his own all day?”
The Day Is Built So Nobody Sits Alone
Meals are eaten together. There's a full activities calendar every day, crafts, live music, gentle fitness, games and outings, led by our Activities Director. Nobody's made to join in, and nobody's left sitting alone either.

“What happens at 3am?”
Staff Awake Through the Night, Not On Call From Home
There's always someone on the floor overnight. If your loved one is unsteady getting up, or confused, or just wants a glass of water and someone to talk to, they don't have to wait until morning and they don't have to manage alone.

Suites Built for Everyday Comfort
We offer three suite layouts, because people arrive wanting different things from the place they're going to live. Some residents want a compact space that's simple to move around and easy to keep track of. Others want room for the grandchildren to visit, or their own door onto the garden. Choose a layout below to see how each one is arranged.

Standard Layout
The Standard layout is a private bedroom with everything close by, designed so your loved one can settle in from the very first day. There's room for a favorite chair and a chest of drawers, and the bathroom is only a few steps from the bed.
- Private bedroom
- En-suite bathroom
- Walk-in closet
- Space for your own furniture
Suites come as private or semi-private. Ask us which layouts are still open for March 2027 and we'll tell you exactly what's left.

Common questions
Questions Families Ask Us
What's the difference between assisted living and a nursing home?
Assisted living helps residents with the daily things, bathing, dressing, medication, while leaving them as independent as they can be. A nursing home provides ongoing medical care at a much higher level. Scarlet Manor is an assisted living community, not a clinical one.
How much does assisted living cost at Scarlet Manor?
Scarlet Manor has one simple, all-inclusive rate, with no hidden fees or surprise add-ons. Contact us for current pricing.
What's included in the all-inclusive rate?
Personal care, medication management, three daily meals, housekeeping, laundry, daily activities and transportation to medical visits are all included in one rate.
Are financial assistance programs available?
Yes. When we open on March 1, 2027 we'll accept the Medicaid waiver, and there are other financial assistance programs families can apply for before then. Ask us and we'll walk you through what your loved one might qualify for.
Do you offer support for the family, not just the resident?
Yes. We run monthly family support classes for caregivers, because choosing care for a loved one affects the whole family, not just the person moving in.
How do I know when it's time for assisted living?
There's no single sign, but common ones include needing help with daily tasks, safety concerns at home, or a loved one feeling isolated. If you're asking the question, it's worth reaching out and talking it through with our team.
Is Scarlet Manor a family-owned facility?
Yes. Scarlet Manor is owned and run by the Harris family, who also own Berryhill Manor in Milton, Florida.
